Artist Statement: I make my art to make sense of the world I perceive, not through my senses, but through a lens called empathy. Everything, according to me, is conscious. These paintings are my way of somehow putting a voice to the everyday, mechanical, brilliancy hard at work behind the scenes of an often auto-piloted world. We wake up and instantly forget how many minuscule forces are in constant collaboration just so we can flop down the stairs to make a cup of coffee. I am inspired by the beyond microscopic atoms that seem to so easily form communities of solidity, liquidity, humanity, and just maybe if we could see these miraculous marvels at work, we would see something similar to the art I feel. The medium through which my art is created is a mixture of oil paints, pastels, pencils, and micro pigment ink pens on canvas and wooden canvas.
Since its inception in Sedona, Arizona (August, 2014), Nuva has been a pristine communicator of celestial energy. Every microscopic detail of this painting represents a piece of the astral realm manifested, untouched, and transferred into a spiraled labyrinth revolving around Jupiter, and the golden sunset oval centerpiece. This conglomeration of energetic expressions can be interpreted in numerous ways and means something different to everyone. The intention is for Nuva to feed your curiosity and childlike splendor.
Fifth Density was created in the foothills of the Pisgah National Forest, where silence is only interrupted by animals and humans seem to understand, once again, that we are just a fraction, a small part, of this life force called earth. We are not ring leaders, owners, or authorities to the nature that so lovingly surrounds, nurtures, and unconditionally loves us. It is time we merge with the higher self and begin to remember the wisdom of the sages, guru's, and deities – we are all connected, one, family. My intention with this painting was to blend multiple layers in hopes of conveying the holographic nature of our very livelihood. In simpler terms, wake up, this is all a brilliantly orchestrated dream.
